About Our Bobbers:
The patented Slide N' Slay bobber consists of heavy-duty rope floats (not cheap styrofoam!) with a glue-filled waterproof tube insert. It connects a downrigger clip to a snap and swivel to keep the released bobber from escaping. We include a laminated instruction sheet with each bobber, so there's no need to worry about getting the instructions wet! In addition, a small screwdriver for the adjustment screw is also included. All you need is your favorite pole and some bait, and you're ready to go fishing!
The patented Slide N' Slay bobber has a unique feature--a real downrigger clip already attached to the bobber, which allows the fisherman to apply his own holding tension for his unique chosen bait. You may choose to set it so that it releases at the slightest tug, or you can tighten it to make sure your fish is making a hard run before it drops the bait at the correct fishing depth for the fish.
For example, if you are marking fish on your depth finder at 16 feet, you set your bait depth at 15 feet and the fish will certainly have a better chance of spotting the bait. After he strikes the bait tension adjuster, it will release the bait at this fishing level. Now, your fish won't have to search for his dinner at a new water level because it is right within his comfort zone. Remember to match baits whenever possible because the fish don't usually change their menus by too much. Don't forget--you usually get just one chance at the REAL fish. We all know the story of "the one that got away." An inferior bobber might just cost you the once-in-a-lifetime fish of your dreams!
